#10 "Reflecting On GOALS"

 "Reflecting On GOALS"

Well, the trip is officially over! That was my life's most fun, busy, and chaotic trip, but wow, it was worth it. From staying up late to waking up super early it was an amazing experience. My favorite part of the trip would probably be the chill days in Arezzo just hanging out with everyone. It was so fun to grow closer to everyone on the trip and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world. Even though I averaged like 5 hours of sleep each night.

After reading over my first post I definitely achieved my first goal. That being learning just how adaptable I can be and how I can make the most out of every situation. For example, if a restaurant was closed that me and my friends were going to then we'd have to be adaptable to make a decision. This happened quite a lot with the very odd hours of restaurants. I learned how to make the most out of every situation like when it was scorching hot in Rome I made the most out of it. I made the most out of everyday trip while even being exhausted.

Reading my expectations part of the first blog I read that I want to be the best friend I can be, while also being a great example of a PCS/ OU student. I feel that I met these expectations because I was the best friend I could be. For example, I made a lot of close relationships with people that I didn't really know that well before this trip. I also expanded on friendships that I already made throughout the year. It also says that I will be uplifting to all of my peers. I think I did that really well by always being positive in any situation. I think the experience I liked the most throughout the trip was getting immersed in the Italian culture. But also the food...

If I were to give advice to an upcoming student for this trip I would simply say be where your feet are. Be present in the moment! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you will never get back so soak it all in. Even when you are exhausted and hot find a way to be in the moment. Others would kill to get this opportunity so make the absolute most of it. I would also tell them to go to Dal Moro every day because it is the best place ever and I miss it so much.
